My First term summary

Dreaming~~ First term has already passed. and all my results came out.Actually,I'm satisfied with all my results.
Every one says term one in Grade12 is a hard term.We need the report to be shown in the school fair. And the universities will see it .I want to go to the Uof T.And this university needs very high average score 86% and ILELS 6.5.And luckily.I have already reached these requirements.I may get nearer and nearer to my dreaming university.

In term One,I struggled a lot on my courses. They are becoming more and more difficult and I chose two difficult courses,Biology and Geography.Sometimes,I really want to drop them. Those courses made me tired. However,I carried on learning them and finally,I got good results. My determination amazed myself.Like my favourite song says"I won't give up,I won't break down."
Eventhough my results
are satisfactory, scores can really say nothing except my ability to study. We will go abroad in about half a year.In these half a year,I still need a lot to learn.Such as cooking, driving, communication and so on.I also need to improve my listening because in the university, the professors talk in different dialects.I need to recongnize and understand them. When I go to the university abroad.I will need not only the ability to study but also the ability to survive.
Term two is the present, term one is the past, face the present and value the past.Do what I think I should do,my dream will come true.

Someone is watching over me --Hilary Duff

Some one is watching over me

---My favourite English song

Lyric

found myself today, oh i found myself and ran away

something pulled me back, voice of reason i forgot i had

all i know is you're not here to say

what you always used to say

but it's written in the sky tonight

so i won't give up, no i won't break down

sooner than it seems life turns around

and i will be strong, even if it all goes wrong

when i'm standing in the dark i'll still believe

someone's watching over me

seen that red light, and it's shining on my destiny

shining all the time, and i won't be afraid

to follow everywhere it's taking me

all i know is yesterday is gone,

and right now i belong

to this moment to my dreams

it doesn't matter what people say

and it doesn't matter how long it takes

for leaving yourself and you'll find

and it only matters how true you are

be true to yourself and follow your heart

that i won't give up, no i won't break down

that someone's watching over,

someone's watching over

someone's watching over me

yeah yeah

oh oh someone's watching over me

This song is my favourite English song. It is sung by Hilary Duff,my favourite actress and singer. The reason I like this song is because when I listen to this song,I feel strong."be true to yourself and follow your heart, that i won't give up, no i won't break down"This is the most moving and encouraging lyric. When I trap in the difficulties and meet obstacles,I know I should't give up and break down.Because someone is watching over me and supporting me.

The Best of Detective Conan

The Best of Detevtive Conan

I'm a detective novel fan.I love to watch movies about detectives or polices. The cartoon "The Best of Detevtive Conan" is my favourite. Now ,with the help of the Internet,I 'll give a brief introduction of the plot of this series novel.

The story starts by introducing 17-year old high school student Jimmy Kudo who is a genius detective, and his childhood girlfriend , Rachel Moore .Jimmy took Rachel to a trip to a theme park named "Tropical Land" and encounters a murder. After easily solving the case and showing off his detective skills, he notices two mysterious men wearing black. Telling Rachel to go on home, he tracked the men to a meeting place and witnesses an illegal deal. However, one of the men in black notices him and knocks him out. Instead of directly killing him, the two men in black give him an untested experimental poison which was supposed to not only kill Jimmy, but also leave no trace of poison in Jimmy's body. However, Jimmy wakes to find that he is still alive, but has now been shrunk, and his age reverted back to that of about his six year old self .Following the advice of Dr. Herschel Agasa ,Jimmy hides his real identity so that the men in blackwon't find out that he is alive. When Rachel asks for his name, Jimmy thought out the name "Conan Edogawa". Agasa says that "Conan" is a relative of his, but that he is too busy to take care of a young child, and suggests that Conan go to live with Rachel, and both Conan and Rachel agree.Conan feels that by living with a detective, he may be able to acumulate clues that would lead him to the people who poisoned him. However, Rachel's father, Richard Moore is a stupid detective and Conan always solves mysteries in stead of him, while he gets the credit. As Conan appears to be just a boy, police do not pay any attention to him. Conan instead himself by using Detective Moore ,putting him to sleep with an "anesthesia gun-watch" and pretending to be Moore by using a voice changer disguised as a bow tie. In this way ,Conan helped the police and Rachel's father, Richard Moore solve a lot of cases.

Jimmy Kudo is a very handsome boy in manga. He is intelligent and brave .I like the process of his inference in the movie or on the DV. Also the cases the writer made are very attractive. I wonder how did the writer write this novel and think of the cases. That's extraodinary. I have to admire the writer.Building such a handsome and intelligent detective. It's brilliant.
In this story,I like another cool character Phantom Thief Kid ,Magic Kaito. He is a genius theaf who is also a worthy rival and enemy of Conan. He loves to steal things that are hard to get (especially jewelry) and doesn't mind involving into risky adventures along the way.He is a theaf with integrity .He likes to help the poor and fights against the evil .He likes to wear white coat and half of the glasses in white in the manga. When he appears, he always flys with his white microlight. He is so cool.

Recently, I have watched several series of the movie of "The Best of Detevtive Conan ",I think I 'm a little addicted on it.I like to predict who is the killer. This makes me feel excited. It's a little difficult for me to get rid of it.Detective story is really interesting.

My home town DaLian

I'm kind of hybrid.Because my parents are from 2 different groups .My father is from Miao which settles in the south part of China. My mother is from Han and she lives in Dalian from the time she was born.I follow my father ,I 'm Miao which made all my friends surprised.^.^Because I was born in Dalian,my home town is Dalian. Now I 'll give you a brief introduction of my home town DaLian.
Dalian is located in Liaoning Province. It lies in the southern part of Liaodong Peninsula .It is a coastal city .She is young charming and attractive. It is the romantic combination of mountains and seas. Dalian is a famous summer resort and one of the tourist terminals of China with its beautiful scenery and pleasant environment. Dalian is an outstanding tourist city in China. The Southern Coast, the Forest Park, Lüshun Port, Golden Pebble Beach and the Bingyu Valley are important because they are famous national tourist spots. Many large-scale internationalized events including the annual Dalian International Fashion Festival, Acacia Flowers Festival, Spring Festival of Fireworks, and Dalian Import and Export Commodities Fairs of China attract people all over the world to the seaside city of Dalian. Dalian is one of the cities with fast economy development in China. It is now becoming more and more fluorished.
On Sep.29th 2008 ,the 29th "Hundred Flowers awards "was held in Dalian. It is an important honor for the actors and actresses.Few cities can get the change to hold this event. This means that DaLian is now becoming more and more famous and popular.
Here is People's Square. The government of DaLian is settled here.

Here is ZhongShan Square, one of the city centers of DaLian
This place is Labour Park. Here reminds me of my childhood.I learned drawing before. And I usually drew pictures here. Here you can see the big soccer. That is because Dalian is called" the city of soccer".
DaLian is famous for her horse-riding women police. It is a special sight in Dalian. The horse-riding women police are very charming and attractive. They are required to learn not just horse riding, but also motorcycle and police vehicle driving skills so that they can better undertake security enforcement, patrols guard of honor performances and other duties.

A beautiful Horse-riding Women Policepatrols guard of honor performances
Also, the accent of Dalian is very funny. Many peple like to speak it even though it is not local. Actually,I don't like to say it and hear it.Because I think it doesn't sound beautiful.
Welcome to Dalian!!!People here are very hospitable!!

My goodness!! Another week has passed~~still tired. But new hope will come. That is the National Holiday. We will have 7 days relaxed.I have to say that these 3 weeks passed so fast with tiredness and tension.I can feel a lot of pressure in every quiz, lesson and class.Another reason I felt very tired is because the PE class.Too much activities such as running and fitness and too much PE class.Remember in Grade 10 and 11,each week we only have 2 PE classes. And the activites we had was not so much.
This week, we had a body check.I was afraid of needles~~so nervous!!

"People were still lining the road saying to me, "Keep going, don't give up, you can do it, you can make it, we're all behind you." Well, you don't hear that and have it go in one ear and out the other, for me anyway? There was a camera crew waiting at the three-quarter mile point to film me. I don't think they even realized that they filmed my last mile?people were still saying, 'You can make it all the way, Terry'. I started to think about those comments in that mile, too. Yeah, I thought, this might be my last one."

Thunder Bay, ON - Press Conference
"That's the thing about cancer. I'm not the only one, it happens all the time to people. I'm not special. This just intensifies what I did. It gives it more meaning. It'll inspire more people?I just wish people would realize that anything's possible if you try. When I started this Run, I said that if we all gave one dollar, we'd have $22 million for cancer research, and I don't care, man, there's no reason that isn't possible. No reason."

He ran 5,373 kilometres in 143 days.

The hero-Terry Fox

About Terry Fox

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977.

After undergoing chemotherapy and seeing other people, particularly children, suffering with cancer, Terry decided that he wanted to make a difference in the world, he wanted to do something to help cure this dreadful disease.

He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope. Terry began his Marathon of Hope on April 12, 1980 in St. John's Newfoundland. When he was forced by a recurrence of cancer to stop his cross-Canada run at Thunder Bay, Ontario, on September 1, 1980, he had completed a total of 5,373 km over 143 days, the equivalent of a marathon every day. After a courageous battle with cancer he passed away in June 1981.

Few people are aware of the physical enormity of what Terry did in his Marathon of Hope run across Canada. He ran 26 miles per day, 7 days per week. Imagine how sore your legs would be if you walked 26 miles day after day on pavement. Imagine how much sorer your legs would be if you ran 26 miles day after day. Few people could stand up to such punishment. Then try to imagine how incredibly difficult and painful it would be to run 26 miles per day with an artificial limb. It is almost beyond comprehension.

To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world.

The information is from:

I was moved by the behaviour of Terry Fox.When he was walking with his lamed legs,my heart was painful. As if not only him but also me was tortured by the cancer. Strong will was shown on his face that made everyone who saw the video would cry.It was a journey that not only Canadians themselves but also the people in the whole world will never forget. His courage, determination, humanitarianism, and selflessness have been an inspiration to millions of people.
Nowadays ,we still have Terry Fox Run in order to memorize him.But our journey is a lot easier than Terry Fox.We are healthy and the run is not that long. However, compare with Terry Fox ,we don't have the strong will as him.We are more often to say give up and do not have the determination to carry on hardwork. We need his spirit-courage, determination, humanitarianism, and selflessness .

Terry Fox is a hero.A different hero from the soldiers who sacrifice themselves on the battlefield. He is a hero not only on his courage but also on his wills. To be a success person, we need such kind of will to achieve our goals!!

Just a free write

These days, I hestitated about my course changing. I wanted to learn History12 but it took me a long time to read the textbook that I had little time to enjoy my novels. History 12 also need us to think critically. On the other hand,Georgraphy 12 is also attractive. Finally, today, I make the decision.I dropped History12 and got ready to accept the challenge course Geography.

I felt angry about one thing. That is the wireless net. the school need us to pay 600 RMB/half a year to search on the internet. But we cannot download anything!!It is so unfair!!

At the end of this weekend. It is the traditional festival- The Moon Festival,I can not wait for that. I love eating mooncakes!!!

That is all what I want to say today.

My grade12 teachers

The first school week finished. I felt quite tired about it . Now ,I'm glad to talk about the teachers who teach me in Grade 12.

First. I'd like to talk about Mr.Engleson,my English 12 teacher. why I want to talk about him first? Because he gave me the deepest impression. And this blog was asked to apply by him. He is really a big man,Very serious. I think most of my classmates are nervous at first. When he asked us questions, we always keep quiet because we really felt nervous to answer his questions.
His round blue eyes are quite deep and sharp when he looked around scanning us. In the first class,he talked about the marks in English12.The marks were very very low ,around 50%.we all felt done. After the first meet with him, majority of us wanted to drop this class. We felt a lot of pressure and we were all nervous in this class. But after 3 classes,I have to say that I began to like him.Even though sometimes he treated us very differently( He hit my head many times with no reason by a coil of paper and drag my plait suddenly,I really felt confused!! ) ,we found him quite a good English teacher who was very creative and thoughtful. He gave us an interesting activity which practise our descriptive writing. I love this activity very much. After class I asked some of my classmates. They all started to like him. Maybe he is really a special teacher in our school!! Maybe after we get touch with him for a long time,we will be prudent to leave him.

The second teacher I 'd like to talk about is NG. He is really a small PE teacher compared with other PE teachers. This Thursday ,we had a beach jogging in the afternoon about 2 pm. It was really hot ,we all ran very hard,I even didn't stop. NG ran with us (even though he said he doesn't like running, he still insist to have a beach jogging) .I think he is an interesting teacher. Unfortunately, there are only 6 girls in my PE class, the rest are all boys. The ratio is very imbalance. So we have to compete with boys!! Because of Thursday's beach jogging,my legs are now still painful.

My biology teacher is Mr Neuyen,I think he looks like NG,he is also small. He is from Vetnem.
I think he is really a good teacher with a lot of patience. He is always willing to answer questions. When we made some mistakes , he didn't get angry but said somthing to comfort and encourage us.
My History teacher is Mr.wong. Before he taught me, many students said he was a great teacher with great amount of knowledge, nearly omniscient. I admire him a lot. even though History is a difficult course, I think if I follow him and listen to him carefully in the class, I might be good on history12.The other reason I chose the course is that I want to improve my essay writing. There are alot of writing and reading homework in history12,I think maybe during this course ,I may make great improvement in history class.(I now dropped this course and learn Geography)
My math teacher is Mr.Prior.He is really very funny .He is bald but looks very intelligient.he always tells jokes through questions and uses a lot of onomatopieoa.I always laughed in his class.I didn't feel nervous but relaxed.I think I can do well in Math12.
My calculus teacher is Mr. Amin,he is good at dancing and PE as well.I really don't know why he teaches calculus. He is really a patient teacher.this Friday in the Calculus class,we nearly had a PE class. He took us out and test our 100m run. Also he let us count the number of our heart beat after the run.I 'm proud to say that I ran the fastest with a Korean girl among the girls in the calculus class.I only spend 15 seconds in the 100m run and my heart only beat 19 times in 10 second.
I also want to introduce three Chinese teachers who teach me Mandarin ,Chinese Political Science and Humanities.
Cheng Sheng,my Mandarin teacher,he is really talktive. He likes to appreciate students and talks about the life around us. I learned a lot from him.
Xie Ya mei,my Chinese Political Science teacher, she likes to reveal the reality of the world .I enjoyed her talking. It is very vivid.
Ren Xin ming,my Humanities teacher, she likes to let us prpare speeches. And the topic is what is Humanities. In this class, I learned how to be a person who is elegent and cultivated.I enjoyed this class a lot.

These are all my grade12 teachers. In this year , I will follow them to achieve my goal to my dreaming university.

Wish me good luck in Grade12!!

my third school day

Today is the third day of my Grade12.

Running from class to class made me feel exhausted and tired.

But I still felt happy because I knew a lot of new friends, teachers and classmates.

Wish me good luck!!
