the sorrow of death

This Wednesday,one Canadian teacher in my school dead by a heart attack. The atmosphere in school was filled with sorrow.
It is really an irony as Mr.E said,"we are talking about death from the book The Tuesday With Morrie,it seems that we are getting ready for death but actually when death really comes, we can't really face it."
It is the first time death is so close to me. I felt the sorrow of it.

Lantern Festival

Today is Lantern Festival ^~^ Today is also the end of Spring Festival ~~
Lantern Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year. Lantern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China.
My family ate yuanxiao today. Lantern Festival is also called the "Yuanxiao Festival." Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is small dumpling balls made of rice flour with various sweets as fillings. Tangyuan can be boiled. It tastes sweet and delicious. What's more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning reunion. So people eat them to pray union, harmony and happiness for the family.
Today,fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. We see the beautiful fireworks and we all excited!!

My father's birthday

The 2nd of the Boxing Day is my father's bithday.

My mother bought a delicate fruit bithday cake from TASTY for my father. It was so cute!!!!

Spring Festival

Spring Festival~~

Jan.25th is the Spring Festival.

I 'm so excited about this.I can wear new clothes and set off fireworks.The most attractive thing is I can get red pockets!! When I stepped into my grandma's house,we said 'HAPPY SPRING FESTIVAL" to each other and wish every body a good luck.

This year is OX year. It is the year for my grandma.She is an ox. So my mother bought things all red such as red clothes,red socks and so on for my grandma.

At dinner time, we sat around the table to enjoy the Chinese traditional food "Jiaozi".Some were made by me. A little ugly than my mother's and my grandma's.But I was still proud of my masterpiece.

At about 8 pm.All family members sat in front of the TV to enjoy the Spring Festival show.While some part of the show was boring,we went out to set off the fireworks.

I was so excited today.!!!
